Our Team Leader coordinate a team of local support workers to ensure we deliver high-quality support to our members. Their role includes training new support workers, communicating with the members in their areas, providing weekly training, and sharing information with out therapists.
Core to Ascend’s unparalleled standards of service is a commitment to employ only university students dedicated to studying health therapies as disability support workers/carers. Our experienced Team Leaders support these dedicated young students to bring a higher standard of care for people with disabilities.
My name is Sophie Waddington and I have just completed my third year of Occupational Therapy at Curtin University. I work part time as a support worker at Ascend and I am also the Team Leader for Karrinyup and Ellenbrook teams. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as I can, whether at the beach, playing sports, or seeing my friends and family.

Your support services are designed to address your unique goals and want you to feel comfortable with your ongoing support needs. We arrange an initial meet-and-greet between all our new clients and potential students until you find the right support worker for you.
