Covid-19 Resources

We encourage all members to discuss with Ascend staff what their preference for services are in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak in the community. Once this is discussed and confirmed, please update your profile in AH+. To update:

• Log into AH+,
  

• Select the “Covid-19” tab on the left,
  

• Update your profile, which will now show your preferance for all staff.
  

Please wear masks as mandated by the latest health guidelines in the state that services are provided. We take a 'risk off' approach, which means taking steps beyond the minimum guidelines. For example, we recommend the use of surgical grade masks to be worn at all times when receiving Support work. However, staff and Ascend Health members should discuss their personal preferences and make arrangements accordingly.

Please be courteous of our Support Workers and the other members they work for who may be vulnerable to COVID-19.

As a part of our COVID-19 safety management planning, all staff are now required to complete the COVID-19 PPE training provided by the Health Department.

Healthcare workers are considered critical workers, so therapists and support workers can work if they're a close contact providing that they have permission from their members. We will always discuss any health concerns prior to working shifts.

Staff can record their RAT test result below if they're WORKING whilst classified as a CLOSE CONTACT.

By filling in this form, you are agreeing to follow the below requirements for close contact critical workers:
- Record a daily negative RAT prior to attending or on arrival at the workplace;
- Wear a surgical mask outside your home and in the workplace, and travel alone, if possible;
- When not at work, you must self-isolate;
- If symptoms ever develop, you must follow symptomatic close contact protocols;
- If a RAT is positive, you must follow confirmed positive case protocols.
