How we can help

Exercise has been proven to maintain health and well-being in people with Parkinson’s. Importantly, it has also been shown to play an important part in addressing secondary prevention, helping to slow the progression of symptoms (focusing on strength, endurance, flexibility, functional practice and balance).

Cerebral Palsy

Physiotherapists work with children, teenagers and adults to develop new motor skills, improve or maintain existing skills and abilities, and support participation in leisure activities.

A physiotherapist will assess how you move and identify factors that limit the achievement of your goals.

Gait Retraining

Gait is term used to describe the unique ways that each individual walks. Therefore, gait re-training is the development and implementation of strategies designed to help improve walking style, efficiency and ability.

The aim of gait training is to help your child develop and maintain the most effective walking style possible.

With the help of physiotherapy intervention can assist with symptom management to help improve quality of life.

We work closely with you to develop an individualised exercise program to improve mobility, strengthen weakened muscles, maintain joint range of motion and improve lung capacity.

Physiotherapists can assist with the recovery of movement and sensation, helping you return to performing everyday activities. Rehabilitation varies depending on how you've been affected by the stroke, and can include recovery of arm function, recovery of walking, or recovery of balance.

Physiotherapists can also play an important role in preventing strokes from re-occurring by assisting with lifestyle changes.

Peads / Developmental Delay

Developmental milestones are tasks most children learn or develop that commonly appear in certain ages like head control, rolling, crawling, walking and talking.

Physiotherapy treatment can improve these motor developmental milestones as well as promoting correct positioning with fun and stimulating exercises to gain postural stability and coordination.
