We are passionate about empowering people and the community
Our speech therapist works with teachers and families to identify a child's individual and environmental abilities and problems related to school performance. Intervention focuses on programs that are person oriented and designed to improve performance of everyday tasks at school and other familiar settings.
Teachers and parents seek out the help of a Speech Therapist when they're concerned about children not meeting certain developmental milestones which are negatively impacting their performance at home, in school, or whilst participating in the community. It is important to address any concerns early so that children can develop the healthy behaviours needed for long-term positive development as they get older.
Refer for an assessment if you find children are falling behind in the following areas:
Reading and writing
Clarity with pronouncing different sounds
Look for alternative ways to communicate apart from speech
Following instructions
First words and
combining words
Eating, drinking and
swallowing difficulties

We can help with ongoing services as well as assisting with completing assessment reports to get onto the NDIS. For example, we can help with the NDIS Access Request Form.
We can organise additional sessions following an assessment. These can be arranged to be completed either at the child's home or at their school, and will be charged at the standard hourly rate for speech therapy or part-there-of.
