Ascend Health Group is adopting serious measures in light of the novel COVID-19 outbreak.
We believe that we should be doing our best to protect our support workers and members.
For the next 14 days, we are recommending our support workers self-isolate as much as possible and actively avoid groups or gathering of more than 5 people.
For the next 14 days (starting 18/3/20), if our support workers come into contact with a group, gathering or crowd with more than 5 people, we recommend they cease all face-to-face services.
Support Workers can still work and provide services that are non-face-to-face or activities that can be done without coming into contact with members.
Activities such as shopping, cleaning, gardening or any other activities of daily living that don't involve close proximity or physical contact.
In addition to our 14-day precaution measures, our support workers have been briefed on the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and how to help if a member suspects a potential case.
We have also ensured that all staff are up to date with hand hygiene learning modules to ensure we are doing our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
